Description

The Billet Harmonic Balancer Pulley Bolt (Part 551218) is a high-strength replacement crankshaft bolt for GM Gen 3, 4, and 5 small-block V8 engines. It secures the harmonic balancer to the end of the crankshaft. 

Fits: Most GM LS and LT series engines (4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, and 6.2L displacements, including LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LQ4, LQ9, LM7, and modern wet-sump LT1 applications).

Does Not Fit: Dry-sump or specialty performance variants like the LS7, LS9, LT4, LT5, or select Grand Sport LS3 Corvettes. 

One-Time Use: General Motors specifies that factory balancer bolts are "torque-to-yield" and must be replaced with a new bolt every time the old one is removed or the balancer is reinstalled. Reusing an old bolt can lead to improper clamping force and loose pulleys.
