The CB1163 is a premium Engine Camshaft Bearing Set. It is precision-engineered to support the camshaft, allowing for smooth rotation and proper valve timing while reducing friction and wear. It supports the camshaft within the engine block and maintains accurate valve timing.
The front camshaft bearing journal on the 6.4L HEMI block is wider than the others to accommodate the oil passages required for the Multi-Displacement System (MDS) / Variable Valve Timing (VVT) controls. When purchasing an aftermarket kit, always ensure it is specified for the 2009+ VVT / MDS Gen III HEMI architecture so that the oil holes line up correctly. Failure to align these oil holes precisely will starve the engine's top end of oil pressure.
