A turbo inlet elbow pipe is an aftermarket or upgraded replacement for the restrictive factory plastic air pipe that connects your car's air intake system directly to the turbocharger.
Improves Airflow: Replaces the narrow, bottlenecked factory plastic elbow with a wider, smooth-inner-diameter metal pipe (usually CNC-machined billet or cast aluminum).
Boosts Performance: Reduces turbulence and increases air volume flowing into the IHI turbocharger (IS12, IS20, or IS38), leading to faster turbo spool times, better throttle response, and slight horsepower/torque gains.
Enhances Sound: Increases audible turbo spool and induction noises under acceleration.
It is designed for vehicles built on the Volkswagen Group MQB platform using the EA888 Gen 3 1.8T and 2.0T engines
