The 5.7L MDS (Multi-Displacement System) Camshaft and Lifter Kit is a comprehensive engine rebuild and repair package. It is explicitly designed for vehicles with the 5.7L V8 HEMI engine to replace worn-out camshafts and failing lifters—a common issue in HEMI engines that causes ticking, misfires, and loss of power.

The Multi-Displacement System (MDS) in HEMI engines shuts down 4 of the 8 cylinders under light loads to save fuel. Over time, the MDS lifters can collapse, stick, or wear out the lobes on the factory camshaft. This kit provides the necessary hardware to restore the engine's valve train and cylinder deactivation.
