The EA888 Engine Intake Exhaust Camshaft Kit is a replacement mechanical assembly for Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG) 1.8L and 2.0L turbocharged TSI and TFSI engines (such as the EA888 Gen 2 series).

What is Included in the Kit

Intake Camshaft & Timing Gear Assembly: Controls the opening and closing of the intake valves, often integrated with variable valve timing (VVT) sprockets or adjusters (common OEM numbers like 06H109021K, 06L109021H). 

Exhaust Camshaft & Timing Gear Assembly: Manages exhaust valve movement and variable valve lift systems on the exhaust side (common OEM numbers like 06H109022BA, 06H109022BC). 

Control / Adjuster Valves & Sealing Brackets: Electronic oil control valves and timing adjusters that regulate oil pressure to phase the camshafts, alongside related bedplates, gaskets, or hardware (such as 06K109022R or 06H103144J)
Common Symptoms That Require Replacement

Loss of Power & Decreased Fuel Economy: Caused by worn cam lobes or a failing phase adjustment/VVT system.

Check Engine Light / Timing Codes: Faults related to camshaft-to-crankshaft correlation or oil control valve malfunctions. 

Unusual Engine Ticking or Rattling: Wear on the cam lobes, hydraulic tappets, or timing chain/adjuster components
