Mopar 53032152AC is a Multiple Displacement System (MDS) solenoid valve, also known as a cylinder deactivation solenoid.

Cylinder Deactivation: Controls the flow of engine oil pressure to specific hydraulic valve lifters. This allows the engine to shut down four of its cylinders during light-load driving to improve fuel efficiency.

Symptom Resolution: Replacing a faulty MDS solenoid can resolve rough idling, engine ticking noises, or sluggish acceleration. 
Revisions: This part number has been updated or superseded by newer manufacturer revisions, including 53032152AD, 53032152AE, and part number 68060345AA. 
Design: These solenoids typically come in a set of four (one for each deactivated cylinder) and manage the transition between 4-cylinder and 8-cylinder operation.
