Description

GM 12686229 is an OEM accessory drive serpentine belt tensioner assembly. It maintains the correct tension on the serpentine belt for GM vehicles with the LT4.

Purpose: Keeps the serpentine drive belt tight so engine accessories like the alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and A/C compressor work right.

Supersession Note: This part number has been updated by General Motors and is often replaced or superseded by part number 12738403
