BREMBO DIRECTIONAL BRAKE DISCS
I bought a set of Brembo Xtra rotors and noted that the rotors for the right and left hand sides of the car are the same. Shouldn't cross-drilled rotors be directional?
Brembo Xtra rotors are not directional. The hole pattern does not have a mandatory direction of rotation as it is designed to work correctly and deliver precisely the same performance and comfort irrespective of the side of the vehicle the rotor is mounted on.
This is a solution that has been adopted in recent years by many carmakers for the sports versions of their road cars, as it allows the use of cross-drilled brake rotors to improve initial bite and rotor cooling without having to use specific rotors for the left and right hand sides.
