    This is an all-in-one engine seal and hardware kit designed for General Motors Gen III, IV, and V small-block V8 engines (including LS1, LS2, LS3, LT1, LQ4, and L86 platforms ranging from 4.8L to 6.2L). It bundles the crucial soft parts and fasteners needed when servicing the front of the engine or doing a camshaft swap.

    Kit Components

    Front timing cover gasket: Seals the main timing chain cover against the engine block.

    Water pump gaskets: Includes replacement gaskets to reseal the water pump upon reassembly.

    Crankshaft front seal: Press-fit oil seal that fits inside the timing cover around the harmonic balancer/crankshaft snout.

    Camshaft thrust retainer plate & seal: The plate behind the timing gear that manages camshaft end-play, complete with its built-in rear rubber seal.

    Fasteners: Specialty flush or countersunk bolts (often black-oxide alloy steel) used to secure the retainer plate. 
    Primary Uses

    Camshaft swaps: Provides the mandatory gaskets and retainer plate hardware that must be disturbed or replaced during a cam upgrade.

    Front-end oil leak repairs: Fixes common oil leaks stemming from a degraded front crank seal or warped timing cover gasket.

    Engine rebuilds: Serves as a convenient, consolidated package for refreshing external seals on Vortec and LS/LT car and truck engines
