The turbocharge air cooler (intercooler) for the 2015-2023 Ford Mustang EcoBoost 2.3L is a front-mounted heat exchanger designed to cool down hot compressed air coming from the turbocharger before it enters the engine. 

Cooling compressed air: A turbocharger forces air into the engine under pressure, which makes the air very hot.

Increasing power: Cooler air is denser and contains more oxygen, which helps the engine make more horsepower and torque.

Preventing heat soak: The factory plastic-tank intercooler can overheat under hard driving, leading to a loss of power

Performance gains: Upgrading reduces intake air temperatures by 30 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit and can support higher boost pressures or increased horsepower
