- Regulates Crankcase Pressure: Controls internal engine pressure by venting blow-by gases from the crankcase back into the intake manifold to be burned safely.
- Separates Oil from Vapors: Filters and traps engine oil droplets so they flow back into the oil pan instead of entering the intake system.
- Controls Emissions: Helps capture and manage hydrocarbon vapors to maintain proper emission compliance.
- High-pitched whistling or squealing noise from the engine at idle (caused by a torn internal diaphragm).
- Excessive oil consumption or burning oil.
- Oil leaks around the valve assembly or gasket.
