The 6.4L Hemi NON-MDS Cam and Lifter Kit is a comprehensive engine rebuild and upgrade package designed to eliminate the Multi-Displacement System (MDS). It contains a replacement camshaft, 16 NON-MDS valve lifters, lifter trays, head gaskets, and all the necessary seals and bolts needed for a complete installation.
By controlling exactly when air and fuel enter the combustion chamber and when exhaust gases leave, it ensures the engine produces its proper horsepower and torque. This specific camshaft is engineered to support the engine's MDS (Multi-Displacement System), which deactivates certain cylinders to save fuel during light-load driving.
- 1 x Camshaft: The central camshaft that replaces the factory component to manage valve timing.
- 16 x Valve Lifters: High-quality NON-MDS lifters. By installing these, the MDS system (which deactivates cylinders to save fuel) is permanently disabled, preventing common HEMI lifter failure issues.
- 4 x Lifter Trays (with bolts): Secures the lifters into the engine block.
- 2 x Cylinder Head Gaskets: To seal the cylinder head to the engine block.
- 2 x Valve Cover Gaskets: To seal the top of the engine.
- Intake Manifold Gaskets: Seals the intake manifold to the cylinder head.
- Exhaust Manifold Gaskets: Seals the exhaust ports.
- Valve Stem Seals: Keeps oil from leaking down the valve guides into the combustion chamber.
- 30 x Cylinder Head Bolts: This typically includes 20 long bolts and 10 short bolts necessary to securely bolt the cylinder heads down.
