180 Technology™ is AWE Tuning’s proprietary sound cancellation technology. It’s why you’ll love this system.

As exhaust gases exit the 3.0T engine and flow into an AWE Tuning 180 Technology™ equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves re-join the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies.

The Touring Edition Exhaust features an x-pipe specially designed for the 3.0T, and acts as the home of our propriety 180 Technology™ for the C7.5 A7. Providing an aggressive, signature soundtrack that will react to every increase and decrease in throttle input, unlocking an entirely new driving experience.

Resonated Downpipes:

Our Resonated Downpipes feature larger-than-stock tubing diameter as well as resonators larger than the stock units in order to produce a mellow sound volume.

Note: For those looking for the ultimate drone-free experience, we recommend pairing the Resonated Downpipes to the Touring Edition Exhaust.

Tips:

All tip options include the AWE Tuning logo, and double walling to ensure a mirror finish even under hard usage. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste.

(Above) The addition of the AWE Tuning A7 3.0T Touring Edition Exhaust System results in a healthy improvement in power. Gains at the power peaks were 8 wheel hp and 4 wheel torque however there are gains throughout the whole powerband, some of them even higher than what was measured at the maximum power values.

The AWE No CEL (Check Engine Light) Guarantee is noted on certain AWE products, and offers peace of mind against the appearance of Check Engine Lights when products are installed properly and used as intended, on vehicles with no additional modifications, with the exception of other AWE products intended to work with the product in question.

What is 180 Technology®?

AWE's patented 180 Technology® works a little something like this: As exhaust gases exit the engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology®-equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers.
