This Camshaft and Lifter Install Kit is an affordable, high-performance upgrade designed for GM/Chevy 1997–2007 Gen III and Gen IV LS-series V8 engines. It provides an aggressive, lopey idle and significant power gains without requiring expensive valvetrain modifications.

Kit Component Replacements
The kit replaces standard OEM parts with performance components to support the increased lift and duration of the Stage 2 cam:
Camshaft: Replaces the factory cam with the Sloppy Stage 2 profile (often uses base blanks like the Elgin E-1840-P).
Lifters: Replaces stock lifters (often compatible with Delphi/Elgin HL2148S style) for standard hydraulic roller applications without Active Fuel Management (AFM/DOD).

Pushrods: Includes upgraded, hardened pushrods (often 7.400" length, 5/16" diameter) to handle the increased lift.
Valve Springs: Often comes with PAC-1218 or similar drop-in single beehive springs to prevent valve float at higher RPMs.
Important Compatibility Notes

Engine Models: Fits the 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, and 6.2L blocks.
Displacement on Demand (DoD / AFM): Not for use with engines running factory Active Fuel Management. If your 1999-2007 truck has AFM, you must perform an AFM/DoD delete kit.
Torque Converter: While manual transmissions can use the stock setup, automatic transmissions perform best with a Sloppy Stage 2 cam when paired with an aftermarket 2,600–2,800 Stall Converter.
