Certain Mercedes-AMG CLA 35 (C118 / X118) models are equipped with a large aluminum control module with cooling fins on the rear of the right-hand headlight. This module may interfere with the intake pipe and reduce the available installation space. Please inspect the rear of the right-hand headlight before ordering. Vehicles equipped with the flat or compact control module are generally compatible. Vehicles with the larger finned module should be checked individually before installation.
The optimized intake pipe has been designed without restrictive cross-sectional reductions, allowing the turbocharger to draw in air more efficiently while reducing pressure losses before the compressor inlet. The large open sports air filter offers a significantly larger filtration surface while maintaining minimal intake resistance, resulting in improved airflow and a more aggressive induction sound under acceleration.
