Multi-Displacement System (MDS) valves deactivate 4 of the 8 lifters in a (V8) cylinder system when the throttle is closed or in cruise mode at low RPM. The purpose of this feature is to enhance the fuel economy available to the HEMI engines introduced by Chrysler. ALL Mopar models 2005+ are factory equipped with the MDS mode UNLESS you have a Challenger with a factory MANUAL transmission OR you have custom tuned your vehicle to eliminate the factory MDS feature. Please do not confuse MDS with Active Exhaust Valves (AEV). The purpose of AEV is to modify the decibel level (sound) of the exhaust system. If one has a goal to increase the duration of AEV this can be achieved by tuning the PCM to manually control between Default, Sport & Track mode.
This is a Race Only product that is to be used solely for competition. It cannot be used on vehicles that are operated on public streets, roads or highways. I have run quite a few Hoosier R7's but wanted the size available in the 888R's for my new BRZ. For one thing, I had forgotten how noisy they are! I could live with that if they performed better on a dry track.
When pushed hard for 20+ minutes they eventually build up enough heat to start getting greasy and losing grip.
For many they will be adequate for track days, but I drive my cars too close to the limit. A better tire for me in the dry has been the Eagle Supercar F1 3R's.
Unfortunately the belt did not fit, it was was too long, my fruend had a 2018 SRT, he had the same problem with his order.
The transaction process was easy, the belt seems like good quality, too bad it didn't fit
