When combined with our extended length coil over shocks (P/N:101-5600-19-CA), aFe Control’s upper control arms will allow full travel for 0 - 3” lift kits. Our upper control arms are also compatible with factory springs and shocks.
Coil Over Clearance:
Control arm design has ample clearance from coil over springs and remote reservoir lines at full droop on a mid-travel setup.
Improved Suspension Geometry:
For stability, we added 3° of positive caster into the geometry of the arm giving the steering a noticeable difference in weight and feel that is confidence inspiring. The added caster also improves the tire contact patch, enabling more front grip in a turn.
Camber and Caster Adjustability:
aFe Control’s upper control arms are fully adjustable allowing you to change camber and caster to perfectly fine-tune your front wheel alignment. No more compromises when trying to align your lifted Tacoma!
For ease of aligning, our control arms are equipped with double adjusters that allow for on-truck camber/caster adjustment. Simply loosen the pinch bolts and spin the adjusters in or out to achieve your desired alignment specs.
CNC bent, 1026 DOM steel tubular design is an elegant yet functional approach to getting clearance and adjustment at an affordable price.
Premium Ball Joints:
For noise-free, articulation and durability, we sourced premium ball joints for our tubular upper control arms. Compared to other common ball joint brands, our ball joint exhibits one of the highest articulation angle for this platform. Joints include zerk fittings for occasional greasing.
Billet Dust Cap:
aFe Control includes billet aluminum dust caps to keep dirt and debris from collecting in the ball joint cup. The cap is anodized black with a laser etched logo.
Dual-Durometer Inner Bushing Ends:
Our inner bushing ends feature a maintenance free dual-durometer joint that is quiet and has zero bind. The outer low-durometer bushing material allows for slight misalignment, while the stiffer inner section is PTFE lined for smooth rotation of the inner sleeve. (If rod ends are desired, these upper control arms can also accept 3/4” heim joints).
2-Stage Gunmetal Grey Powder Coat:
Durable 2-stage gunmetal grey with clear powder coat ensures a long-lasting finish.
